“I love EOT because it gives me the availability to have my staff do more intensive training. Training that allows us to have the ability to do team building and be able to connect together as staff as units. It takes my mission and vision for my camp to another level. I would recommend EOT to anyone, it enables you to have a similar foundation that allows everyone to call upon and connect back to. Use EOT!”

“I was very happy that we used Leadership Essentials as part of our Staff pre-camp training requirements. It not only helped provide the key training principles that a camp staff member needs, it also allowed me to monitor the use of the tool which gave me a preview of the individual incentive of my staff before they arrived at camp. It will continue to be part of our pre-camp training and I would highly recommend it for any resident camp.”

“We’ve been using Expert Online Training with much success during our staff orientation. It’s terrific to use in combination with everything else because the videos and quizzes keep our staff interested! Actually, our staff let us know last year that it was a great addition to their training, so we’ve renewed our subscription. I love the fact that you have added new presenters and fresh content to the library this year as well! Can’t wait for more new and updated topics next year! Thanks for helping out!”

“Diabetes camps help people affected by diabetes lead healthier, happier, and more productive lives through good diabetes management. The Diabetes Education and Camping Association (DECA) provides leadership and education to better enable diabetes camps to fulfill this purpose. We are very excited to partner with Dr. Chris Thurber and the American Diabetes Association, in bringing Leadership Essentials to the staff of diabetes camps. This will reinforce our staff training programs byincreasing the skill set of camp staff. Inevitably, this initiative will better the experience of children with diabetes.”

“Since 2011, EOT has been a valued and integral part of our staff training. All prospective counselors-returning and rookie-are required to view four EOT modules prior to our in-person training. By viewing their results from my Director Dashboard, I can focus my onsite training on areas in which staff are struggling. This pre-season assignment also helps us weed out prospective staff who do not take the job of counselor seriously. Applicants who do not complete their EOT assignment are dropped. Those selected to join the staff are assigned an additional four modules to complete prior to opening day. EOT has proven to be an outstanding addition to our training and we believe that we are providing well-trained leaders to take care of the precious cargo that parents are entrusting us with.”

“While I was the Head Counselor for Camp Fuller, I used ExpertOnlineTraining.com for all of our staff. I absolutely loved the videos and felt they gave helpful information in a manner that staff and administration could visualize! The handouts were so valuable for interacting with the staff on various issues as well. EOT helped me become a better Head Counselor to the campers and the staff. Using the information on addressing bullying, sexual harassment, and parents, I gathered a better understanding of my role and responsibilities toward campers, staff, and parents. I recommend this training whether one has been in the industry for years or is brand new to camping. It is an invaluable training experience.”

“With more and more mandated staff training, and less and less time to accomplish it prior to camp, this series is a godsend! The videos are well-produced, authentic, succinct, with relevant and appropriate content. I love the manageability and online convenience — for me and for my staff.”

“Hey Dr. Thurber! I was utterly impressed with Expert Online Training. I continued to show your videos and discuss your philosophies throughout the entire summer, and Iwitnessed first-hand the effect your work had upon our staff, especially with helping homesick children. On behalf of the entire staff at Camps Firebird and Roosevelt, thank you for all you share with the world.”

“We were excited to share Chris’ expertise with our nearly 200 camp life staff. The videos from Leadership Essentials proved to be a powerful and critical componentof both Interlochen’s web-based pre-arrival training and our on-site pre-camp training. Feedback from our counseling staff was positive, describing the videos as “on target” and “a great supplement to staff discussions.” Using the Director Dashboard to manage and track specific content for our population was simple and effective. Chris and his team were helpful and gracious in all our interactions and we look forward to again using Leadership Essentials this summer.”
